Caring for the pieces you love
Home.Works Editorial
The pieces you love will outlast trends if you give them a few small habits.
**Wood.** Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Skip the sprays. A little beeswax once or twice a year is plenty.
**Textiles.** Rotate cushions. Wash throws inside-out on a gentle cycle. Air-cushions in the sun every few months — Dhaka's humidity is not their friend.
**Leather.** Less is more. A damp cloth, a conditioner once a year.
**Brass.** Let it age. If you'd rather it shine, a soft cloth and a few drops of lemon juice will do.
**Mirrors.** Vinegar and a soft cloth, never ammonia.
